and welcome to my new blog! I decided that after quitting my job, moving across the country, and returning from a 2 month trip through Europe meant that enough changes had occurred in my life to warrant a new blog.
So why am I calling it “Tash in Training”? Well, because while on vacay, my husband and I decided to run a marathon! I know. Crazy right? Those who know we know that exercise is not really part of my life because I am usually really busy with work and just plain lazy. Well, now that I have no work and no excuses it is finally time to get in shape!
Now, when I say we are going to run a marathon I don’t mean tomorrow. I don’t even mean next year. In fact, we are aiming to do a marathon in 2-2.5 years. Think of it as a long term goal. But we also have some more short term goals on the go too. Such as running a 5k soon! Yikes!
So this blog will be my attempt to try to track my exercise and food choices as I shape up with DH. And, as usual, will also be filled with the randomness that is my life
So now that I have gotten this post out of the way, be prepared for some European vacation re-cap posts and lots of pics!

I think it is absolutely awesome! I would love to do another 5k. Do you know when the first one will be?
You guys are the epitome of an amazing couple!
welcome home!
welcome home – i think that’s an amazing goal! and you’ll have so much fun doing it together!
Omg Tash…..
I actually misted up at the impressionist exhibit photos. They’re my fav too, and I have prints, but to see the real things…..I think I would have cried.
There was a Rodin Exhibit here a few years back and I was there for HOURS just staring. Art museums are my favorite ever!
Wow, what an amazing trip you’ve had! I’m so excited to hear all about it in person in October!
And what an amazing goal! I have NO DOUBT that you’ll do it with flying colours!!!
WOW! That is an amazing goal! One that I’ve always had on my list but alas, running will be the death of me… or, at least my knees. So, after 4 knee surgeries, my advice to you is to listen to your body and know going into this that running can be quite damaging on your body. I learned the hard way that although it seems like everyone and their brother is a runner, that it’s not for everyone! I hope you it for you though, because I’ll be living vicariously through your blog!
