I am breaking up Rome in two. The next part will be Vatican City.
We spent 4 nights in Rome. It was just enough time, but not enough time too.
The most impressive thing I saw on the trip was the Colosseum. It was so impressive and amazing walking around it.

The city was beautiful and filled with really, really old stuff

The view of the Forum from Capitoline Hill was breathtaking.

We checked out the Spanish Steps . . .

and the Trevi Fountain.

We walked all through the Forum and where Rome was first established . . .

and saw where all the chariot races happened at the Circus Maximus.

The final pic I’ll leave you with is me with a crazy fountain Tim liked.

Stay tuned for our Vatican adventures!

LOVE the pics! I’m so glad you have more to post!
That’s a great pic of the Trevi..we had to wake up at dawn to get a non-tourist filled pic.
Love it! Thanks for the little trip back in time…all of those awesome photos just reminded me about my trip there. It was freaking hot, I remember that!! We were only there for two days (one Rome, one mainly Vatican) but it was definitely one of the major highlights of our trip. The history is just so amazing!!
Wasn’t the Trevi so much smaller than you expected?
